We have now gone live with our new online consultation service-Patient Triage. This is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us. Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible. We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist but would love to hear your feedback. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.
Care Navigation
Sometimes, the GP isn’t really the best person to see. In some cases you could be seen and treated quicker by another Clinician and in some cases, the GP practice might not be the right place at all for the query. This is why when you call for an appointment you will be asked for your name and date of birth and brief details of what your appointment is for so that you can be booked in with the correct professional. All our receptionists have been put through specialist training and possess additional skills to provide a crucial practice role in improving access to primary care. All with the aim of helping patients to get to the right service faster.

More choice, more appointment service
Appointments Outside of Practice Hours Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. The service is an extension of your GP practice and offers routine and same day appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals. When using the service, you may not see your usual doctor, but we do employ clinicians from local practices where possible. With your consent, our clinicians will be able to access your healthcare record to ensure they can offer the right treatment for you, and prescribe medication or refer you for further treatment if necessary. Sick Notes
First 7 days is self certification only for all patients as per GOVT Guidance-
Patients do not need to see GP for a fit note to return back to work as per GOVT Guidance.
If Patient was seen by hospital recently and would like sick note for that problem GP can only issue a sick note legally if we have a received the hospital letter .

Samples Collection
Please note samples for urine/stool etc will not be taken after 12:00 noon
Hospital Correspondence
If you have recently been seen by another health care professional and they have advised that you see your GP, please allow up to 14 days for the practice to receive the correspondence, this will be reviewed by the GP. Most actions can be dealt with by the GP without an appointment such as ongoing medication started by the hospital or arranging onward referral.
